I took my family sledding in the Rocky Mountain National Park a few years ago. While the kids slid down the mountain, I found myself admiring the blue spruce trees. Combined with the shadows, snow, and mountains in the background they made a beautiful composition. This is definitely one of those paintings that seemed to paint itself!
